Accessing this Website

Access to the Department website is permitted on a temporary basis, and it reserves the right to withdraw or amend the service it provides on its website without notice (see below). It will not be liable if, for any reason, the website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, the Department may restrict access to some parts of the website, or the entire website, to users who have registered with the Department.

Content Standards

Suspension and Termination

The Department will determine, in its sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of these Terms of Use through your use of its site. When a breach of these Terms of Use has occurred, it may take such action as it deems appropriate, including, but not limited to, taking all or any of the following actions:

• issue of a written warning to you;
• immediate, temporary, or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the site;
• immediate, temporary, or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to the site;
• initiate legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach;

Membership Obligations

Where you have joined this website as a member you undertake to inform the Department immediately of any claim or action against you for any use of this website and, on request from the Department, to immediately cease the act complained of. You agree to inform the Department immediately of any changes affecting your registration details. It is your obligation to ensure that your registration details are kept up to date.

You may terminate your membership of this website at any time by giving the Department reasonable notice by e-mail to Informant@kcpd.org. You should clearly state your name, username (if any) and registration details (if any) and the name of this website on all communications.

Indemnity
